Studying Science in the Quad
In the summer months, staff and children sometimes choose to eat their packed lunches in our Quad Garden. It is also ideal for life science study as it contains a variety of plant life, a greenhouse and a small pond. We also have a fantastic Jungle Garden, after winning a BBC Rainforest Competition.

Our most recent OFSTED inspection in November 2008 concluded that Forefield Junior School is an Outstanding School!

Our current and previous OFSTED reports are available to view and download from

The OFSTED Website.

Please note: Both of the above reports will open in a new window and are not part of our website. We are not responsible for content hosted outside of the Forefield Junior School website.
In addition to academic success, we are also very proud of our performance in less tangible ways. A survey of parents showed that:
Children:
  • enjoy coming to school;
  • behave well;
  • are making good progress;
  • are expected to work hard and do their best
  • are encouraged to be mature and independent.
Parents:
  • are kept well informed;
  • are comfortable approaching the school with questions or problems;
  • views, suggestions and concerns are taken seriously.
The full results of the questionnaire are displayed in the table below.

Environmental Issues
Back to top of page

At Forefield Juniors, we take our responsibility to the environment seriously. To aid us with this task, we have registered with Eco-Schools, an international project aiming to encourage school staff and pupils to

  • review the impact their actions have on the environment;
  • decide how they can act in a more evironmentally friendly manner.

We have already taken the first step and set up a School Eco Commitee, consisting of staff and pupils. The commitee have looked at our current activities and created an action plan.

Click on the links below to learn more about what we are doing to help the environment this year.

Please note: The Environmental Review is a Microsoft Word Document that you can choose to Save or Open. While all content is checked for viruses before being uploaded to the site we cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss of data due to the downloading of infected files.
