'Young Engineers' is a national organisation with clubs all over the country. The aim is to inspire an interest in engineering through hands-on, club-based activities. Being a Young Engineer encourages children to be innovative, creative and solve problems. Above all, it is great fun!

National K'nex Challenge Competition 2007
Two of our pupils reached the 2007 National Final of the Young Engineers K'nex Challenge. Having previously won the club, area and regional competitions, our two finalists travelled to London with Miss Morgan to face one last challenge of designing and building a castle. Their model had to include a working drawbridge and portcullis, as well as a secret entrance. Although, sadly, they did not win, they performed extremely well under pressure and against the clock. After the competition, the two boys attended the prestigious Annual Celebration of Engineering Awards dinner along with Miss Morgan.
