World Bee Day takes place on 20 May each year, and its aim is to spread awareness of the significance of bees. Bee campaigners also ask people everywhere to do more to help and protect the special insects.

We are very lucky to have a member of staff (Mrs Falconer) who is also a beekeeper! Today, she brought her bees into the school hall to meet some of our pupils. Mrs Hill (our science lead) is keen to extend this experience to other classes in the future. 3M and 3B (appropriately) were delighted to be the first classes – especially when they realized that the bees were safely behind glass.

You could say they were ‘buzzing’!
